Now on Display: Sanborn Maps!

Sanborn Maps are now on display in the library's foyer! Between 1867 and 2007, Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps were created for about 12,000 U.S. towns and cities for assessing fire insurance liability. Brookfield's Sanborn Maps are from 1898 and 1904, and are a wonderful tool for tracking where businesses were located in Brookfield during these time periods.
